Now most people can say they love apples, but apple butter?! What is it and what am I going to do with Instant Pot Apple Butter. Well don’t you fret there are so many uses for apple butter! Apple butter is basically spiced apples that are cooked down until they become a very thick spread.
Best Uses for Apple Butter
- Slathered right on some toast
- Add it to your oatmeal
- Mix some sweet and savory and add it on a pork roast
- Top your Ice Cream with it
- Add it to a cheese plate
- It would be amazing on an apple, brie, and turkey sammy
- Top pancakes, waffles, or french toast
- Make some homemade pop tarts and use it as filling

I ended up with about 2 16-oz jars of apple butter. I kept one out and froze the other. As long as you are using sterile jars it should keep for about a year after opening. I would just be mindful of looking to see if its moldy and if it is toss that baby out!

Instant Pot Apple Butter
This Instant Pot Apple Butter has Fall written all over it. There are so many uses for apple butter, You need to make it now!
- 5 Pound Apple, cores removed and cut into 1/4ths
- 1/2 Lemon
- 1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1/2 tsp Allspice
- 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
- 2 tsp Vanilla
- 2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp Ground Cloves
- 1/2 cup Dark Brown Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Salt
Add all ingredients to instant pot, seal vent and pressure cook for 15 minutes. When its done allow it to sit for 10 minutes without releasing pressure. Release vent until all the steam has escaped.
Using an immersion blender, blend mixture until completely smooth. Set Instant pot setting for saute for 30 minutes, until it has thickened up stirring every so often. Allow to cool down a bit. Add Apple butter to sterile mason jars or glass container and store in fridge. Should stay good up to a year, but just make sure to check for quality.
