Sriracha Deviled Egg Appetizers-The Seasonal Junkie

This Sriracha Deviled Egg Appetizer Recipe was totally supposed to be on the blog this weekend, so you know, you could whip it up for New Years Eve. But man, oh man, the holidays have been so busy, too busy. And then to top it all off, I was lucky enough to catch a cold. Which I’m hardly ever sick. So i am sure, I am being the biggest wimp right now, but whatevs catch me on the couch this year to ring in 2019, pity party included. And Deviled Eggs are always good. Am I right?!

Anyways, enough about that let’s talk about Sriracha Deviled Egg Appetizers.

Sriracha Deviled Egg Appetizers-The Seasonal Junkie

If you haven’t noticed my love for eggs, just know it’s real. The egg love is so, so real. So obviously, I had to make a deviled egg recipe. But not just any deviled egg recipe, I whipped up a batch of Sriracha Deviled Egg Appetizers. They were seriously an explosion of flavor and nice switch up from the deviled egg recipe you have at every holiday with your family.

Now, hard boiling eggs can be a little tricky. A lot of times people tend to over-cook their hard-boiled eggs. You can always tell because there will be a green ring around the egg yolk when you cut it open.

Now I’m sure there are about a million ways to accurately cook hard-boiled eggs. But this is the way I learned in culinary school.

Get your pot and place your eggs in the pot cover with water about an inch over. I like to pour a teaspoon of white vinegar, this is so if the shell cracks the egg white stays in the egg. Turn on heat to medium heat and bring to a rolling boil. Once it is boiling turn off heat and set a timer for ten minutes. During this time make an ice bath. After the 10 minutes, submerge eggs in ice bath for 10-12 minutes. After peel the eggs, and you should have a perfect set of eggs.

Now that you know how to hard-boil eggs…

Let’s get down to the good news. For those of you who follow me on Instagram, I mentioned in January I am taking part in the Whole30. It’s a great way to jump into the new year and reset your system. Basically you only eat real food. That’s right, no added sugars, no weird chemicals, no alcohol. And by the end of it, you feel amazing. The good news that this recipe is actually Whole30 Compliant. (As long as you use compliant Sriracha) Click here for a sugar-free sriracha you can buy on amazon, or check out this recipe from 40 Aprons! .Or if you aren’t on any eating plan feel free to use the traditional Sriracha we all know!
